Flying out to Chicago tomorrow for the WSOP Circuit in Hammond, IN, and will be participating in my alma matter’s homecoming festivities during my stay as well. Gonna be staying at my friend’s place near campus, and I’m gonna be playing a few of the circuit events (Hammond is about a 45-minute drive from Evanston, and I’ll be renting a car so I’ll be at the Horseshoe a lot). I get in at 8:10 PM, and I’ll probably just get settled and play a bit of online and probably go to the Horseshoe on Thursday to play some live cash before the events get underway on Friday.
So the event that I played at the Hard Rock this past weekend didn’t go as well as I wanted, but the tournament was super fucking soft. The play was just awful, and I definitely play on playing some of the better events there in the future.
Whenever Florida lifts the $100 buy-in limit for cash games (yes, at all stakes!), that casino is going to be my home away from home.
This month has been a bit rough so far, but today went fairly well. I’ve had a -$2800 day on the 1st of the month and a -$2200 day a few days ago, but I’ve been rebounding since. Those two bad days I played some 400nl, and I think maybe I’m not adjusting properly or I’m not fully focused when I’m putting in those sessions. But for now I think I’m just gonna chill at 200nl and withdraw a bit more for the live cash games, and then I’ll take some shots at 400nl again maybe a bit later this week or this weekend. I’ve been watching some good training videos and I think it’s helping a bit, so we’ll see how this month turns out. Right now I’m still over +$3k, so it’s still been a pretty decent month overall so far.
We’ll see which events I play possibly this weekend, and should be posting some time around then. I’m excited to see my college friends again :-)
