So I’ve been in Evanston for a few days now, and I must say things have been going really well. I felt as if I had been playing really well lately, day in and day out, so I took a shot at 400nl. That went really well, and 2 days ago I had my best day without a tourney score:
Almost all of it was 400nl, and it was about 9 hours of playing. Very nice. Then I didn’t play poker at all yesterday and just hung out and drank with friends, and then got back to work today. Today I made about another $2800, playing mostly 400nl and 265 hands of 600nl because games were good. So I think So after making more than $1/hand for the last 2 days of playing, I’m up well over $10k for the month now, with over $7k of that coming in the couple days lowl.
My friend’s dad is staying in his apartment from the 19th-21st, so I booked a room at Ameristar (a hotel/casino close to the Horseshoe) for me and my other poker friend who’s also coming to play poker. I’ll probably play a bunch of live and, since I withdrew almost $5k today, I should be comfortable playing 5/10 after not too long. Needless to say, I’m very excited for this next week. Everything’s going great, and I hope it continues. I’m playing the best poker of my life and I’m not running bad. Life is good.
